ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Jerome J. Pinckney
Jerome “Jerry” Pinckney was born in humble surroundings in Savannah, Georgia. He grew up in a modest middle-income family during that time. His father was an Army Captain, and the family soon moved north to New York City, which was a complete culture shock for him due to his Southern upbringing.
As a child, he always had an entrepreneurial spirit. Around the age of 14, he sold bags of boiled and parched peanuts along with pecans, shined shoes at local barbershops, created and sold Mother’s Day roses, ran a sidewalk candy stand, made palms for Palm Sunday, sold garden seeds, and delivered newspapers.
He graduated from Morris High School in the Bronx, NY, and then completed a 5-year electrical apprenticeship in New York. His accomplishments include earning a Brown Belt with 3 Black Stripes in GojuKai Karate in New York, studying at the Cornish School of Allied Arts Music in Seattle, and pursuing music composition at Eastern Washington University in Cheney, WA. He also worked as a banker representative for two central commercial banks in Seattle, served as an IRS revenue officer, and ran a sportswear clothing store as a sole proprietor. Additionally, he became a licensed real estate agent in Atlanta.
Jerome’s diverse background includes being an A-Journeyman Electrician (Local #3), a commercial bank representative, an IRS revenue officer, a licensed real estate agent-investor, and the sole proprietor of a sportswear clothing store. He believes that filtering through these careers and several opportunities for international travels to interact with other cultures significantly groomed him toward the knowledge and preparation needed to write this book.
Jerome was fortunate enough to receive the following award certificates: Real Estate Certificate of Excellence Zip Realty, Real Estate Sales License, Certificate of Maintaining 3.7 Average EWU College, Certificate For 5 Years Completion as an Electrical Technician IBEW #3, and National Academy Of Home Inspections.
To further extend his creative entrepreneurial mindset, Jerome created two websites. One is for his original registered copyright cartoon character, Huey Hippo: Home kids and the other is for his Original Music Song Creations: https://pearltracksmusic.com.
Jerome loves America, and over the past several decades, he has witnessed a decline in honesty and integrity throughout the nation. He wrote this book to express his concerns and plant a seed of hope, aiming to help America become the strongest nation it is. This book represents another form of entrepreneurship, intending to improve the nation’s collective profiles and promote more excellent honesty in our social, familial, political, and economic interactions.
“A Nation of Liars” is Jerome’s debut as an author. He has wanted to write a book for many years and finally gathered the courage to take the necessary steps, launching this non-fiction work as his first. Over the next few years, he plans to release several more books in various genres, such as fiction and other meaningful subjects.
His writing history is inclined toward writing music more so than literature. Through his many opportunities to travel and meet people from different cultures, he gained a deep understanding and perception of their sense of sincerity, or lack thereof. Over the past couple of decades living in the USA, the confusion surrounding truth and lies has led him to explore this genre of historical issues, tracing the nation’s development from the time of the American Indians to the present. News media, social media, the internet, audio and video promotions, and marketing systems have all contributed to this confusion and distrust.
Jerome loves reading books on AI and new technology. He also loves spending time with his 8-year-old daughter and 7-year-old son, creating unique objects with building blocks, making artwork and crafts, fishing, shooting pool, bowling, creating instrumental music tracks, and reading nature books to his little ones, whom he loves dearly.
His values revolve around keeping the Holy Spirit in his life 24/7 in everything he does while continuing his philosophy of love and respect for all people. He believes in maintaining high standards and showing respect for others, regardless of their background or walk of life.
Jerome prays that we grow more in trust, honesty, decency, respect, and integrity as a nation for the future of the new generations. He often expresses that he feels genuinely “blessed.”
